How to make a waterproof wall

The first step: when doing waterproof construction, the first step should be to deal with the base layer. Remove the original decorative materials, clean up the floating soil and cement, and require a smooth and dry surface.
The second step: pave the waterproof coating. Brush a layer of modified asphalt on the waterproofing base layer, spread a layer of fiberglass cloth, and then repeat the painting again, and finally apply the paint on the second layer of fiberglass cloth, and the waterproofing treatment is completed. The waterproof coating should be applied evenly, and the glass cloth and the waterproof layer should be tightly sealed, and there should be no leakage, drumming or falling off, otherwise it will affect the waterproof effect. If polyurethane is used as waterproof coating, it is generally not necessary to add glass cloth, as long as it is repeatedly painted 2-3 times. Because the polyurethane coating itself can form an elastic protective film, it has certain tensile properties. In order to improve the waterproof effect, a layer of glass cloth can be laid, but the cost will increase.
It should be noted that when waterproofing the ground, spread the waterproof paint and glass cloth to the wall 20-30cm from the ground to prevent leakage at the junction of the wall and the ground, thereby forming a closed and firm overall waterproof layer. For the walls of the shower room, soft light walls and indoor walls that are afraid of leakage, it is necessary to apply waterproof paint to the wall 1.8 meters or all over the wall to prevent wall leakage.
The third step: do a “water-blocking” test. The “water-blocking” test is an important inspection method for testing indoor waterproof quality. After the waterproofing project is completed, seal the doorway and the drain, fill the room with water to a certain level of liquid level, and if the liquid level does not drop significantly within 24 hours, it is qualified. After the “water shielding” test is completed, make another protective layer of cement mortar on the waterproof coating layer, taking care not to damage the already completed waterproof coating layer.
